As stated above, the product does not work as advertised. It is the only product I have purchased from Gempler's that is unsatisfactory.

We have a small backyard in the city and are bothered by flies, perhaps from neighbor's trash receptacles and feral cats. I ordered these traps several years ago on a whim and was amazed at how many flies they trap. They are so easy to use. The only con is that they do begin to have an odor as they get full, a sign that you need to "toss". I usually order about 6-8 to get through the summer.

Flies have been bad this fall with warmer than usual weather in the Black Hills. I got tired of them getting in the house and buzzing around on my SW-facing deck, so I tried the Trap 'n' Toss. It works well; I estimate now that about 5 dozen flies are caught, and it's Halloween with more warm weather still to come. I plan to get more traps from Gempler's to have in stock whenever flies become a problem again. Don't get any of the attractant on your hands when setting the trap up; wear latex disposable gloves.

I used this product in 4 different settings all with lots of flys around. Out of 4 settings, trapped 2 small flys in two days.
