I have used this product for several years in our warehouse at work, so when I moved to the country, I used these stations around the foundation of my house for mice and rat control. No issues with the family dog, the stations stay where placed, and are effective in minimizing rodent traffic. Several Gempler's baits are real good. My only issue is the stations are difficult to open, even with the tool, to check.

We noticed rodents around the barn area and garage where tractor is kept. We have two very curious dogs...concerened they would get the poisionous bait and get hurt. We also have a friend that has a two year old, who loves to see our horses. This rodent bait station proved safe to both! I plan on purchasing more, [...] Safe..no downfalls! More than lived up to expectations!

I have ordered an earlier version of the product. The latest version comes with an opening devise that if lost you would have a lot of difficulty opening when you add bait to the station.
The older version opens with a hex key which is readily available in must homes. However, both work well and are effective once they are loaded with bait.
