I have tried just about everything on the market to kill voles. We are having an epidemic in the vole population in Idaho and Oregon. I have a tree farm which they are destroying. They are also so bad that they are in the lawns and gardens. I slip the bait down into the holes so that dogs or cats and birds of prey do not come in contact with the poision. It is working well except there are so many voles I have to keep feeding them. Never have I seen it this bad. I have tried the sprays and electronic devices (don't waste your time or money). I have tried ammonia, pine-sol, too, but it's just temporary. Other bait poisions dissolve with moisture or degrade due to sun and winter snow but this bait won't do that. If you have more time on your hands you can run a piece of metal flex from an enegine exhaust down into their holes but it takes too much time which I don't have plus they just keep coming back. The poision is there 24 hours a day. Good Luck.
