Was searching for a implement that would cut through my mother-in-laws clay like soil that has 40 year old roots around some ugly shrubs. The saw tooth shovel helped cut through the roots under the bush and remove the heavy clay soil around them quite easily. Once I was able to do that, I could then start working the bush side to side and finally pull out. Removed 5 tough old shrubs in about an hour. This shovel was great!
