Best protection ever never a burn at 450 deg. the silicone base allows me to easily clean any thing that sticks. i have always destroyed any gloves i used, these held up well it was a while before they were retired.

These gloves are comfortable to use but lack adequate protection on the back of the gloves. The material on the back of the gloves burns away quickly even when only doing light gage mig or stick welding. If not real careful even grinding sparks that contact the back will ruin them quickly. The front or palm side hold up very well. as far as being rated to 450*F NO WAY.
I have been a certified welder, fabricator for the past 37 years and have worn my share of quality gloves before. These are more suited for tig welding. Good heat protection with no sparks and good feel for the filler rod.

These gloves work great in the shop with my TiG welder. They provide plenty of protection, are machine washable, and offer a great alternative to leather gloves. Being vegan, these are a great alternative without sacrificing safety. It takes some time to learn to feed the rod because of the bulk of the glove, but sometimes i use a lighter weight glove on the hand i use with the rod. All in all, i wouldn't hesitate to but another pair of these if my gloves when mine finally wear out.
