The problem with many irrigation punches is they flatten the tube and accidentally puncture both sides of the hose. This punch is specially shaped to cradle the hose just right (without crushing) so you don't accidentally punch through both tube walls. This tool operates like a paper punch except it has a special, sharpened 3mm round blade that leaves a centered, clean, precise hole (not just a puncture) for feeder lines.
