I work in the trades and have found these shorts to be a valuable tool in themselves. I have carried everything from small parts to tape,nuts, bolts, screws, nails and small hand tools and the pockets have all held up very well. We have a short summer but it gets very warm here and that is the only draw back, the material is heavy and makes them a little warmer than what I had hoped. This is small sacrfice for a great product.

As a practising athlete (Rower, distance runner), I often have problems with pants that fit my waist not fitting my seat. I have a 33/34" waist but frequently have to order pants with a 36" waist to ensure enough room in the seat to give me the freedom of movement I need for my job as a carpenter. I ordered shorts with a 36" waist and found them too tight and reordered them in 38" and found that although te waist was now rediculously loose there seemed to be no extra room in the seat. The designers of these shorts need to realize that not all tradespeople have the big gut/no butt body type.
