Extractor® Snake Bite Pump Kit

Item No: 130405

Product
Information

The only medically recommended device for treating snake bites

Ideal for anyone who works outdoors on a regular basis

The Extractor® kit is an easier, more accepted and safer method of treating snake bites in-the-field, because it doesn't require the use of a knife or scalpel to open the wound. The powerful suction created from the pump draws out the venom directly from the puncture wounds created by the snake fangs. Kit is ideal for anyone who works outdoors on a regular basis and includes the pump, razor (for body hair removal), four sizes of pump adapters, three bandages, two prep pads, two sting care wipes and the instruction manual. Case measures 5"Lx3-1/4"Wx1-1/4"H. USA made.

NOTE: Can be sold only within the United States and U.S. Territories.

NOTE: Most effective when used within 15 minutes of the bite. This kit is not a substitute for proper medical care.

Comments about Extractor Snake Bite Pump Kit:

I keep and breed rattlesnakes, as well as perform educational presentations on them, as a hobby. Extractor kits are useless. In the rare circumstance that you get bitten, stay calm, and get to a hospital. Thats all there is to it. Dont succk venom, dont cut the wound, dont wrap a tourniquet... just get to a hospital. The only thing that treats envenomation, is antivenom- which you get at the hospital. BTW, Less than 1% of bites in the U.S. are fatal.

Comments about Extractor Snake Bite Pump Kit:

Probably the best consumer grade product for extraction. I keep one kit in each car so I always have one before I go into the field. May be difficult for children to fully compress the plunger on themselves at first (due to resistance and angle), but with practice they can get it to work. This is NOT a substitute for medical treatment, but rather to lessen the immediate effects, and buy some time while getting to the hospital. Best when used immediately, so keep it on your person whenever out in the field.
