great to use if mounting cloth to wire frames or can use to attached bungy cords to cloth to stretch long distances. Would be better if wasn't made of plastic (like some type of metal that won't rust) for durability and long life. Not certain how long plastic will last in the sun.

I bought these to use with a medium weight shade cloth so I could secure it with small rope. The grommets snapped together pretty well. I wouldn't use them on anything heavier than a few mil item or it would be to hard to snap shut. So far so good...it hasn't pulled out. Worked well for this application.

The grommets are attached to the shade cloth. A 1/4 inch spring hook is then attached to the grommet and the spring hook used to secure the shade cloth to a cable system. It can be put up easily and taken down easily and stored.

The shade cloth grommets are less expensive than Greenhouse Megastore. they work well when fastening one thickness of cloth. Quite difficult for two thicknesses.
