Does not fit through hose guide on reel

Comments about Nelson Hose Repair Male Adapter:
this type of repair clamp gets in the way of holding the end of the hose when connecting nozzle or other hose. It also will not fit through the hose guide on a hose reel. That is okay if this repair is on the end of the last hose.

Advertised as 1/2" to 3/4". I used it on a 3/4" hose and had following problems: 1) Male fitting did not fit snugly in 3/4" hose causing leaking. 2) Clamp did not fit around 1' outside diameter hose. Had to buy another hose clamp. 3) Had to use "Goop" adhesive to stop fitting from leaking.

If you are buying these clamps for use on 3/4" hose, please note that the screws that hold the clamp halves together will be a bit too short and you'll need to clamp the halves together with vise grips or a C-clamp to get the screws started. Otherwise, very well built and manufactured.
