This product cut the temp in our greenhouse from 140+ in the summer afternoon sun to under 95!! We have been VERY impressed and thrilled with the sunlight still coming in for plants and lighting purposes but with the durability and the ease of use to keep it cooler and "bearable" temperatures. Best price we could find on the web; and although it was over 50lbs (and a bit heavy for some) it easily was installed and sure better withstand our crazy winds!

    Seamingly Dissatisfied in Ca.

This product was seamed down the center and not particularly attractive as a finished product. I used it for a patio cover shade/sail and didn't expect to get an unsightly seam.

Comments about Shade Cloth 80% Shade:

This cloth is perfect for creating shade in various places around the house and garden. All those shade loving plants thrive under this cloth when I suspend it over them! Also used in my screened porch to block sun rays and provide cooler room. When summer sun and heat lasts too many days, I protect my tomato and vegetable plants by providing temporary shade by suspending this cloth over the plants. Then I take it down, fold it up and use again later!

Comments about Shade Cloth 80% Shade:

This is the 4th cloth I have purchased! It can be used almost anywhere sun rays make the area too hot! Breeze comes right through!

#1 Attached grommets and hung over screened-in porch wall panels to block out hot sun. Now the room is much more comfortable and we get more use of the room during those hot summer days. Looks nice, adds privacy and we can still see through it.
#2 Attached to the privacy fence panels on the patio to create a shaded area to for those shade loving plants like hosta, etc.
#3 To protect my tomato plants from the harsh hot sun during high temp days, I placed tall stakes at each corner of the row and a few in the middle for support. Then draped the cloth over them to provide instant shade! You can use zip ties to secure to the stakes. Rain goes right through and the plants don't wilt.
#4 Also have used this cloth over windows to decrease the sun rays warming the house. Can be done very neatly.
#5 cut pieces can be used to shade individual plants. I attached to the wooden stair rails of the deck and placed shade loving plants underneath.
ALL of these uses are easy up and easy down. When no longer needed, just fold up and use next time!

Comments about Shade Cloth 80% Shade:

The Arizona sun is very hard on car covers, tarp, and my sandrail itself. I use it to protect the car, tires, and everything I keep on the trailer. Works great. It seems to be about 15 degrees cooler under the screen.

I use the product to cover a portion of my vegetable garden. It allows enough sunlight enter but reduces the temperature underneath sufficiently. So far, it has been very good.
