This model has a fixed emissivity of 0.95 so you can use it for a variety of materials including soil, plants, turf, water or concrete, glass, asphalt and painted or coated metals. Laser sight allows you to see where you are monitoring the temperature. Distance-to-spot ratio is 10:1, meaning that at a distance of 10 feet, the diameter of the area read by the thermometer is one foot.
