I have used many of these saws over the years. The saw is sharp, comfortable in the hand, and cuts very well on the draw stroke, but it has a severe design flaw. Several years ago Felco changed the blade lock from a wire loop that locked the blade in the open position to a black plastic locking tab on the top of the handle where it joins the blade. This tab is very flimsy and can break easily and fall off. The saw will still function with a missing locking tab, but an unlocked blade can close and injure the operator's hand. I have had the plastic locking tab fail in approximately a dozen of these saws. Felco should have addressed this design flaw and corrected it long ago. The saws that I use get heavy use but not abuse. The old Felco hand saw that had the wire lock was much less "high-tech" but was more durable than the newer model.

use this tool for clearing shooting lanes while deer hunting--cannot be beat. light weight,fits in backpack,easy to use. this tool should be advertised in hunting and camping magazines or catalogues. would probably double your sales. thanks for a really good product. do not work for felco. i just like this tool a lot.

Easy to use. Lightweight for over the head trimming. Fits in my pocket.
