This hat having it's own brim to protect face and eyes from sun and it's easy to adjust ear cover are a great advantage over standard head gear. The wool keeps the upper head quite comfortable from severe cold and helps retain heat. The ear muffs could drop to cover a little more of these floppy ears. Made in America...says a lot. Hat is great deal overall.
