So far were very happy with the product. The real test will be to see how long it lasts. Over the years we have had a problem with to much mulch build up around trees and shrubs. This looks great to start. Lets see. I will be ordering more to finish my complete beds.

About a year ago we xeriscaped our front yard. The mulch had really bleached out in our hot Texas sun. This product brought new life to the mulch and was certainly easier than putting in new mulch. I have already recommended the product to family members.

Used this a couple of times now to touch up shredded hard wood mulch around my house. I have a lot of mulched areas and its gets expensive and tiresome making several trips to pick up mulch and then come back home and spread it. I found this stuff and for the cost and ease of "renewing" my mulched areas, it can't be beat. It will stain anything as people have said and you need a good pump (diaphragm instead of piston) because I had a decent Hudson piston backpack sprayer that got messed up using this stuff due to the pressure and thickness I was trying to push. I have a SOLO diaphragm backpack sprayer now and it does so much better with even pressure and spray pattern. It looks pretty good when applied and lasts quite a long time. I would say that doing it in early spring, it will look good through the fall for me.

I have been using this mulch stain for years now. It is easy to mix, apply, and the color lasts for a LONG time. In fact, we have bulk colored shredded mulch applied to our property--because it doesn't cost any more than non-colored mulch--and after about 2 to 3 weeks when it already is fading I spray the stain and the color lasts well into the winter. You need to be careful when applying the product as it will stain absolutely everything--brick, siding, shoes, plants, etc. Buy a mid-cost garden sprayer. Sometimes the sprayer gets clogged but just tap the wand on the ground to loosen the particle clogging up the sprayer or unscrew the end and wash it out and you're good to go. Last year the "Bright Brown" was really an orangey color and I had to mix it with "Dark Brown" to get the color that I wanted. In prior years, the "Bright Brown" was just perfect--not too dark and not too orangey. I wish our local retailers would get on the band wagon and stock mulch stain!
