Repels troublesome geese with their natural enemy
Mute Swan Decoy is effective in land or in water
Mute swans aggressively protect their young from Canada geese, making this Mute Swan Decoy an effective deterrent as part of an overall repellent strategy. Head and neck can be adjusted for a realistic look. Plastic decoy may be free floated, or secured in the water with string or decoy weights (not included). May also be secured on shore with two steel anchoring stakes (included). Decoy should be moved periodically to increase effectiveness and used with other deterrent methods. 33"L x 18"W x 19"H. Imported.

I had a pair of ducks that decided my pool was a fabulous place to swim. I couldn't keep the ducks away. I used a pair of these swans to float around in my swimming pool. I haven't seen these ducks since. I am not sure if they decided to move on, or if these new swans were effective in keeping these ducks out of the pool. Either way, the goal was to keep the ducks from my pool and so far I haven't seen them since my new swans arrived. I plan on putting them in my pool as soon as the cover is off. I might even keep staked in my yard for the fall and winter to keep the Canada Geese from my yard.

. We have two on our beach and two on a small island on a small lake. They are attractive and people ask if they are real. We know they are not real and so do the geese. The geese walk and swim by they all the time. They have made nests right beside them. The air pockets on the bottom are not air tight. When floating water, the wind tips them, and water gets into the pockets. There is a drain hole built in, so you know that water is expected to get in. High enough wind will swamp the swan. If you connect the three body parts together inside with cording, you will not loose any parts, after swamping. We lost the face off of one, and don't float them any more. We like to see them by the lake and put them out every year.

I would purchase this product again

Great product. We purchased this product two weeks ago to be used on lake front property with a small beach to ward off troublesome Canadian geese who would leave their nasty/smelly calling card. Although they swim by, one look at the swan and off they go. So far so good. Also, great customer service when ordering over the telephone too.
Not effective on land

On land the geese don't stay away. Flocks of baby geese stay with the parents and they all just walk past the two swans we have anchored at waters edge. Maybe I need more than two.
